Sell your excess plants
Have spare divisions, seedlings or orchids that need a new home? Eligible growers can offer them for sale through the Summer Orchid Festival’s shared plant sales area.
It is a great way to make room in your collection and give other orchid enthusiasts the opportunity to grow something new.
Our sales area brings together plants from orchid growers’ collections. The festival does not have commercial vendors.
Who can sell?
Plant sales are available to:
- Exhibitors who enter plants in the show.
- Volunteers who work their assigned rostered shift.
If you are coming only as a visitor, please contact us before bringing plants for sale.
Sales commission
The festival retains a commission from each plant sold.
| Seller arrangement | Commission |
|---|---|
| Plants owned by volunteers who work their assigned shift | 15% |
| Plants owned by exhibitors who do not volunteer | 20% |
For example, if your plant sells for $20, you receive $17 at the volunteer rate or $16 at the standard exhibitor rate.
The reduced commission applies to plants owned by the person completing the volunteer shift.

- Neatly presented, with clean pots and weeds removed.
Protect flowers, leaves and new growth during transport. When setting prices, consider the plant’s size, condition and stage of growth.
